Papa, can you help me design this logo?

Sorry, I don't know how to use technology.

It looks like you've been left behind. You want to guide the kid. Can you help your child's education if you're not up to speed with the technology?

The children are not just using a phone or a computer. They are surrounded by technology everywhere. It has become an integral part of their education. These devices are with them for almost 24X7. So you need to understand them.

How can you expect your child to be using this technology correctly if you don't understand it yourself?

It is when digital literacy for parents comes into play.

Digitally literate parents help their children to grow from a very young age. Here's how:-

    • The Internet is deep - The internet is full of information. At the click of a button, you get to learn anything of your interest. There is no limit to the information that is available here. However, it is crucial to know that there are over 1.5 billion websites on the internet. Not all of them are going to be safe for your child.
    • Digital illiteracy causes harm - It's about the safety and privacy of your child. Technology and gadgets in today's world are inevitable. If you aren't literate about it, the kid is missing half of its values of life.
    • A part of interaction adds up -. A parent wants to be as close to the child. E-literacy provides you with all the affairs of interaction. If there is any issue, your child can ping. They wouldn't need to go outside the Not just gadgets, smart classes and their merits are well informed to them as well.
    • A digital literate parent is well equipped - A teen child and the relationship with parents often deteriorate. One of the reasons being gadgets and mobile phones. Parents who are aware of technology can make their children aware. They can limit screen time. Moreover, they can't be fooled.
    • Chances of exposure to explicit things: Children who expose themselves to inappropriate material at an early age hold a much higher chance of becoming sexually violent later in life. It should not stop you from allowing your child to access. To check free access to restricted content, there should be some measures to protect your child's online experience. It can be possible if you are aware of things.

Showing uncertainty and blocking websites can be overwhelming for both parents and the child. You surely won't want this to happen. On your part, as a parent, it's crucial not to ignore digital literacy.
